ALUMINIUM

For boat mooring and general purpose use

When the client’s requirements call for lighter materials, Marinetek has its own aluminium range of pontoons and mooring fingers. In today’s market, there are several dock manufacturers to choose from. Some docks manufacturer may cost less initially and seem more attractive, but in time they may rack up maintenance expenses, labor, part replacement and valuable time.

At Marinetek, there is no compromise, we only use high strength marine grade aluminum alloy 6061-T6, extra strong extrusion with unique single or double track system for easy marina reconfigurations, all reinforced with easy access utility troughs on each side. Our unique aluminum system can also be combined with our unique hybrid technology replacing poly-floats with high stability concrete floats.

  • Structure: Welded frame 6000 aluminum alloy extrusion
  • Manufacturing: Welding conform to CSA W47.2 and ANSI/ AWS D1.2 standards
  • Decking: 25mm x 138mm nominal decking Softwood, Hardwood, Composite or Concrete panel

  • Floats: Concrete floats M140N, M200N or M300N: Strength 45 N/mm• fiber reinforced concrete, exposure class according to European EN 206-1 standard.
  • Polyethylene floats: Polyethylene shell 5mm nominal filled with expanded polystyrene (EPS) at 15 kg/m
  • Connection: Noise free rubber connection (Flexblock)
  • Cleats: 305mm or 406mm cleat model Aluminum alloy AA356

Aluminum Gangways

Our aluminum gangway is light enough to be carried by two people. No more repainting or replacing unsafe wooden ramps or struggling with heavy, rusty steel walkway units. Our Aluminum Gangways solve the problem by offering quick and easy removal in the event of severe storms or for seasonal storage.

Like all of our waterfront equipment, our aluminum gangways are constructed of corrosion resistant, salt water tested aluminum alloys, and require minimal maintenance. Also aluminum gangway installations have proven themselves.

  • The siderails are a rigid girder design. The top-truss design increases stability and load capacity and lends support to the rugged aluminum handrail.
  • Decking planks are of special aluminum extrusions fastened securely to the tubular cross members. Cleats that provide additional foot grip are supplied as a standard feature.
  • Ramps are available in standard widths of 32″, 36″, 42″ and 48″. Standard lengths range from 8′ to 40′ and are handled as stock items. Other widths and longer lengths can be made to order.
  • Comes with standard mounting bracket on shore end and rubber aluminum wheels at float end.
  • Marine grade corrosion resistant aluminum
  • Please note all gangways from 24′ to 40′ will be manufactured as a 2-piece construction.
